T-METIX is a track geometry trolley for fast, accurate measurement of the basic railway track geometry parameters — gauge, cant and twist. Its lightweight construction and high-precision point laser measurement make it usable across a wide range of railway and tramway networks, and it is available for gauges from 600 mm to 1676 mm.

Two sensors — a laser distance meter and an incremental rotary sensor — also give 2D position detection of objects around the track. A positioning wheel with an accurate screw-adjuster orients the swiveling laser.

Software

Measurements are taken with the DistoDroid 3.0 Android application, which handles laser distance measurement, track geometry acquisition, kilometer referencing and project data management, communicates with the trolley over Bluetooth and shows results on screen in real time. Recorded data is exported in structured .csv format and evaluated in KRAB 11.
