A compact 1.3 kg handheld device for precise wheel diameter measurement, used in workshops and depots for in-service wear checks and measurement before reprofiling. Wireless Bluetooth transmission of the reading to a PC, tablet or phone is available as an option.

SPIDER measures wheel diameter indirectly via rise calculation on a 300 mm symmetrical chord. A MITUTOYO absolute digital sensor sits at the chord midpoint, with a spring-mounted tip rotatable 180° so both sides of the wheel can be measured.

- 500–2250 mm wheel range — covers all standard railway and tram wheels
- Calibration included — supplied calibration stand with gauges (0.001–0.002 mm), checked by the Czech Metrological Institute
- Sensor memory — remembers zero calibration even after power off
- Contact at 70 mm (railway) or 45 mm (tram) from the inner face of the wheel rim

Wireless Data Transmission
The optional Bluetooth module links the digital indicator to whatever the technician already carries, so diameters no longer have to be copied by hand.

- No receiver needed — the reading shown on the display is sent directly to any Bluetooth-enabled PC, tablet or smartphone
