KRAB U-LIGHT

Model: KRAB U-LIGHT Ultra-Light

Ultra-lightweight 22 kg track geometry trolley for maximum portability

The lightest full-featured KRAB at just 22 kg — one person can carry it off the track. Choose it when carrying weight is decisive; for everything else, and on jointed rails, the stiffer KRAB S-LIGHT is the usual choice.

Overview & Specifications

Why Choose KRAB U-LIGHT

  • Portability is your top priority — 22 kg, one person can carry it off the track.
  • You work in metros, tunnels, tight spaces or places with difficult access.
  • Frequent relocation between measurement sites is required.
  • You don't need heavy add-ons like LPS.
  • Your track is continuously welded: on jointed rails the stiffer KRAB S-LIGHT gives steadier readings.

KRAB U-LIGHT is a railway track measurement trolley designed for accurate and efficient track geometry inspection. Its lightweight construction allows operation by a single user while maintaining reliable measurement performance. It is deployable on any gauge from 1000 to 1676 mm, on vignole and grooved rail profiles, and folds easily for transportation.

The trolley suits routine inspections, maintenance verification and infrastructure condition monitoring — with measurement at up to 8 km/h, adjustable gauge and up to 8 hours of battery life, it is a practical solution for maintenance teams and infrastructure managers.

Key Features

  • Lightweight construction, approx. 22 kg
  • Measurement speed up to approximately 8 km/h

Track Cameras

KrabCamera or an IP camera photographs the track, rails, sleepers and surroundings at a set step (typically 1 to 10 m), each picture tied to the km position and viewed in KRAB 11 with the measured data. A 360° camera captures the full view around the trolley
