KRAB 11, KZV's professional evaluation software for railway infrastructure measurements, now has a page of its own. It processes track geometry data — cant, top, alignment, gauge and twist — together with speed and distance, using configurable calculation methods that include space curves and chord evaluation.
Templates that match your standards
Every railway network works to its own maintenance rules. KRAB 11 lets users configure evaluation templates that automatically apply the required calculation methods, limits and reporting criteria: user-defined calculations and limits, configurable wavebands and filters, custom graph layouts, local defect settings, section evaluation criteria, speed zones, switch type definitions and adjustable rail profile parameters. Once configured, a template can be reused indefinitely, keeping evaluations consistent across projects and networks.
Analysis and reporting
Graphical tools provide multi-channel display, simultaneous visualization of several signals, adjustable scales, signal comparison, highlighting of limit exceedances and zoom for detailed inspection. Local defects are detected automatically against the selected limits and listed in adjustable tables giving maximum value, length, limit level and GPS location, alongside quality index calculations and section-based condition assessment.
Rail profile evaluation covers both vignole and grooved rails, comparing measured profiles against reference profiles for wear monitoring and grinding plans, with GQI reporting and export to multiple formats. Switch evaluation generates detailed reports for every inspection point in a switch, with integrated support for ASI (Automatic Switch Inspection).
