What is measured
The diameter of the wheels of railway and tram vehicles, checked in the workshop or depot for in-service wear and before reprofiling. SPIDER is a handheld electronic device of 1.3 kg with a precision of 0.003 mm, calibrated by the Czech Metrological Institute. With the optional Bluetooth module the reading goes straight to a PC, tablet or phone instead of a paper log.
